Sorry katleeana, as it had no interest in the 2 week period, i have stripped some parts off it and the rest is at the dump. Unfortunately I don't have alot of available storage space and cannot store anything outside so it had to go to make room for the parts i need to repair my shell. If you are looking for one i'm sure there are a few available around the place - I know of 1 other in Brisbane that might be available and there is another listed for free.

Sirpent, PM galderdi - it was his car that we butchered - I think they would still be there - but he would know for sure...

Well thanks to galderdi (top bloke - thanks for all your help this weekend mate!) we cut the top of one to donate to my 280... This is the result:

An EL Ford conversion would be slightly easier as apparently the sump is mounted towards the rear instead of the front. Either way it would be an interesting build...

Scoota - That's what will happen to the box if no one wants it - the balance of stuff will be dumped. Just thought I'd give someone a chance to use what may/may not be a good boxif they need one. Cheers

Hi all, As I am stripping a 280zx for a rebuild I thought I would try and off load some parts - please note if they are not gone in about 2 weeks they WILL go to the dump, might hold if some one is genuine. Not required so far is: The Auto Transmission, and with it the Shifter and speedo cable. Pic attached - tail shaft not included - may or may not need this myself. I am at Burpengary these days - Greg, you're not on Youngs Crossing Road are you? - I've seen a few 280's there... If it's a goer I'll be looking for a manual pedal box and possibly the targa tops (depending on turret solution) - rest will be dependant on the balance of the plan... It's not a huge secret - just there's no sense opening a discussion on what i'd like to do if the shell is not worthwhile... turret rust is my first concern then the rails - if they are no problem then once i sort turret then I'll release my plans... No brother - only 1 sister (never lived in ACT but have lived in NSW prior to moving to QLD)

Hi all, Have been a member on here for a while but never thought to say hi until 2 weekends ago when i picked up a 280zx from a mate's place and stuck it in my project spot of my garage. I'll be asking heaps of questions some probably silly but i'm sure you'll get used to me or vice versa. The car is a bit average and as i'm stripping most of it out - there will be a few freebies to clear some space.... Final plan for the car is a little top secret at this stage as I need to find out whether the rust in the roof is repairable/worth repairing and whether the squashed rails under the car will be an issue (and if so what that would cost to repair)... I'll post some photos in another section but thought i'd say hi to get things started. Ben.
