Thanks everyone for their ongoing support. Today was turbulent. BlueOvalZ started the day at 44% of the vote. Since noon the BOZ has lost 15% while the Mustang has picked up 30% and still climbing. It's been a long haul, but it's not over yet. The BlueOval Z has been a contestant in the Texaco "Car of the Decades" for 30 days with 1 more day left to go. Currently in 3rd the votes of the people will decide it's fate. As the only Datsun in the contest it's done surprisingly well. Two cars stand in front of it's victory for the 70's decade, and there are only about 70 Votes separating them. Just 70 votes needed. Now is the time to vote and propel the BOZ to 1st Place. ONLY 4 Days left to place your vote! As of today we're 33 votes out of 2nd place, and 66 votes from VICTORY. The last few day's we've closed the gap however voting has slowed substantially. I would like to that all that have supported this endeavor by voting, and getting friends involved. Thank YOU!! Yes, we're in the final 7 days of voting for the contest. Although the spread to first place looks large, each vote is worth up to 10 points. Based on today's scores we're only 84 votes, or 12 per day out of the lead. I don't think that it's unreasonable to think that we can't round up 100 ten point votes and win this thing. Great Idea! I subcribed over a month ago and am yet to get an e-mail from them. NEWS! Somehow the contest has dramatically reduced the scores of the 1st, and 2nd place cars by about 1/2 (Good for the BOZ). Something fishey must have been going on with those guys.

Hi Guys, Texaco is having a contest to choose a winner of each decade from 1900 on. The Blue Oval Z is entered in of course the 1970's decade and is currently in 6th place. Figuring that the tough competition would come from the Ford, Chevy, Mopar camps solely based on their enormous size, the surprise has been the AMC guys. They have came out in support of a 1976 Pacer (and Purple no less)! I guess you have to admire the AMC camp for their support in making an AMC the car of the decade (but a Purple Pacer???). Hi, Thanks for the nice welcome, and comments. I haven't had a chance yet to do alot of exploring around the site yet, so I'm not exactly sure what the Front Page is just yet. Hopefully today I'll get a chance to poke around a bit, but I'm always open for ideas.
