mossy Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Does anyone know where the 240z flasher can wiring ends up (the green + wire). I had no turn signals and checked the flasher and no 12v, linked a 12v wire to the can and the turn signals worked so just want to trace back the green wire. Its a 71 so no hazards Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 3, 2013 Moderators Posted March 3, 2013 All zeds have the wiring for hazards; they have that "loop back" plug that takes the spot for the hazard switch. Check your indicator switch on the steering column..make sure no wires have come off. Quote
mossy Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Checked the steering column and all wires are intact but there isn't any voltage going to either of the 3 wires on the signal switch, also have a new flasher installed. Also found that hazard plug but nothing plugged in. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 12, 2013 Moderators Posted March 12, 2013 If that "loop back " plug isn't in, you get no indicators... Make sure it is the right part of the loom; all green wires with various coloured stripes in a small condensed multi pin plug from memory. Quote
mossy Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Yep thats the one Dimitri, doesn't seem to be anything to plug it into though? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 12, 2013 Moderators Posted March 12, 2013 Looks like you need that plug. I might have a spare floating around. Once its installed, it gives power to the circuit. Takes the place of the hazard switch. Quote
mossy Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Thanks Dimitri, I'll have a look tomorrow morning in my spare parts as well in case I have one floating around. Quote
mossy Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Dimitri I might not need that plug, if I just make up a spade connector and loop it into the 2 connectors in the plug my turn signals seem to work fine, thanks for your help Quote
