Different sized fuel lids between 76 and 77 ??

Hi all, this may seem a little wierd, but has anyone else noticed the 2+2 fuel lids don't match in where they sit from a 76 model 2+2 to a 77 model?

I'm swapping my 76 model lid over to the 77 model and once I screw the bolts in to place it sits flush top to bottom but sits about 7 mil too far to the right.

The only way I can make this fit make up some sort of 7mil custom pad for the plate to sit on. Otherwise sourse another 77 lid.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Gee you're up early. I fitted another fuel door to my 2+2 and had to bend it to fit.

Does anyone have a spare 77 fuel lid they want to sell?
