After a wet Wakefield for me last week, and some previousnwet weather occasions at eastern creek I decided that I had to get a proper roll cage. So for the last couple of days I have been preparing for getting a new cage. Today I met rod Andrews from Andrews race cars, really nice genuine bloke with great skills. No one I spoke to had a template so it was a tape measure job. Now I think that I got a bargain, he only charged me $800 for all my bars supplied (still need to be notched and lengthen). This is for a 6 point cage, which also has bars from the rear towers to the bottom of e main hoop, a cross rather than a taxi bar, twin side intrusions and spare bracing. He apparently supplies the majority of shops in Sydney with chromoly and mild steel. I think he has a 260z template also. Ultimately, he now has a template for a 280 zx if anyone is looking for one. Obviously as we install I will show you some pics, but his bendwork is excellent, a very tight fit, and I can still remove t tops. Quote
