Scoota G Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 You may know, you may not but i can confirm they do fit because i'm getting the boys (10 and 12) to strip an 82 model. Quote
jules Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Hey Scoota, I'm just on the hunt for a door lock actually, but just the lock mechanism- so 80's Bluebirds are the same for a 240z? I took a gamble on a 260z and got a wrong one- was a 2+2 Cheers Quote
Scoota G Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Well the fit my 260Z. Can't understand why the 2+2 are different. I'll double check on dale's 240Z and get back to you. Quote
. Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I don't think its a difference between the 2 seater and 2+2. I have seen late model 260zs with the same lock mechanism as the 280zx. In other words the earlier models have part of the lock protruding out of the door. The late model 260z and all the 280zx have the lock mechanism flush within the door with just a small openning for the loop/ring to latch into the mechanism. Quote
Scoota G Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 Ok so we need a definition of door lock. It's the bit the key goes in. The other bit is the catch. Quote
