80's model Bluebird door locks fit 240Z 260Z

You may know, you may not but i can confirm they do fit because i'm getting the boys (10 and 12) to strip an 82 model.

I'm just on the hunt for a door lock actually, but just the lock mechanism- so 80's Bluebirds are the same for a 240z?

 

I took a gamble on a 260z and got a wrong one- was a 2+2

Well the fit my 260Z. Can't understand why the 2+2 are different. I'll double check on dale's 240Z and get back to you.

I don't think its a difference between the 2 seater and 2+2. I have seen late model 260zs with the same lock mechanism as the 280zx.

 

In other words the earlier models have part of the lock protruding out of the door.

The late model 260z and all the 280zx have the lock mechanism flush within the door with just a small openning for the loop/ring to latch into the mechanism.
