Hi Datsun Community.

 

I have inherited a 1976 Datsun 260z from a family friend that was originally intended to be my first car. After getting a price on how much the car would be to fix from a mechanic and a panel beater i was saddened to learn it was out of my price range. I am 18 years old and a student so i can not afford to undertake any large restorations, but i am sure someone out there appreciates this car as much as me and could find good use for it be it for spare parts or even better a restoration.

 

I have formed a connection with this car and would have to give it up to a wrecker, i would much rather someone who has a passion for these cars takes it of my hands.

 

I am not sticking a price on this car as i am not sure how much it is actually worth. But any serious offer will be considered.

Well! I think that is very interesting.

 

Complete 2+2 i would say $1000 in that condition but, it has the dual 32/36 weber setup and a front spoiler.

 

You could part it out for $2500 but would take weeks of work. The carby setup is worth as much as the car because the motor looks shagged. It's only worth what someone will pay for it but cleaned up that carb setup is $500-$700 and the front spoiler $150ish. Do the math!

Those DCD 32/36 downdrafts are nowhere near worth that.

Maybe 100 to 200!

Agree on above, depending on how bad?, the body is, 1 to 1.5 k about right.

Let us know what figure you want for it.

Put it on ebay with a starting bid of $1k and if it goes up form there, all the better.
