blah
I'm just about to start stripping back my 260z to a bare shell, so I'm just trying to get some advice on the options. (I've searched about electrophoretic coating and cant find anything) I read the British magazine practical classics and in it they often have the company SPL advertising : http://www.surfaceprocessing.co.uk/technical-process.html They chemically dip cars and then electrophoretic coat them. The basic process is: Chemically dip car Customer takes it away to do rust repairs It comes back and gets electrophoretic coated From what I can see this solves the problem of dipping where all the primer in spots that you cant get to is removed. I was wondering if any one has had this process done and what they thought of it? And if there is any where in Australia that offers it? nat0_240_chevZ
electro mould, a-class metalfinishers and AI automotive.... E-coat, is just an electo-version of phoritic coatic (phosphate), to help speed it up and to electrically bond the coating, not just dip it. already done a bit of re-search, current way of manufacture. nat0
