ol_skl_jp Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Hello all, been a while since i have been on the forum or even touched my zed. But I only have like 19 days to enjoy my zed before rego expires and it is put into storage for a few years, untouched. Today i was checking over the car making sure everything worked. I found that cylinders 3 and 6 were not working. I cleaned the plugs and tested them and they worked find; they had alot of carbon build up. I also found that when I blocked the trumpets of those two cylinders, petrol came out; while blocking the others reduced engine speed and no petrol came out. Does this mean there is blockage in those two cylinders in the carb? Whats the best way to go about fixing it, other than tearing it apart and reconditioning it. Thanks Sach Quote
Quandary Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I'm no expert but in theory crap in the valve could cause it to not close right and fill the carb until it spills. If you ran it hot it might sort itself, or spray hot fuel all over the shop. Just thought I'd put it out there before the experts to see how right or wrong I am. Quote
