I have 2 l28 long motors up for sale as I no longer need them. Suitable for rebuilds.

One is a f54/n42 combination the other is N42/n42. As far as I know both are standard. I had them as spares to use for the race car and will need to be pulled down and checked at a minimum.

$800 for both or $500 each in brisvegas.

Would like these gone, so I have more room for the new toy and all the associated bits and pieces.

If you catch me in a good mood, you might be able to get some other bits as well that I find, or are still in the shell.

Yes it will, its a L28, they all do!

Well I kinda got shafted on my last purchase, I have a L28 (N42/N42) with no notches!

It has a single carb fannymold and no injector notches or extra screw holes...

Im guessing it is from either a Patrol, or a 280c (behemoth)

Has some majical cam in it apparently, I'll go get the numbers later...

Any old Patrol engine, underworked and under revved, or yes even harder to find a 280c.

Will assume owner you got it from did not disclose wjat it came from.

Cam numbers can be subjective too, pnly way to yell is if it has been reground, or a lumpy billet, by sight only, then if it looks intetesting, get it run up on a cam doctor machine

Tighe Cams in Brisbane can do this, or SureCam in Sydney, cost a few dollars??

Yep, still for sale, tucked away in the corner of the shed out of the way. Let me know if you are interested.

The F54/N42 engine is gone, thanks Larry for the quick and easy pickup.

I have now just the one N42/N42 long engine for sale, suitable for rebuild only as per the earlier posts.

Also have a bare n42 head that would be good to use as a base for a big build, has cam towers and a bumpy stick of some description, wouldn't have a clue to specs as i wasn't going to use it. Also have most of the other bits to go with it, but would recommend doing the job properly and getting new valves, springs, lash pads etc.

And finally, I also have a set of 133mm rods for either the big stroker, or with an L28 crank and custom pistons to give you some more oomph and a few more revs.
