The 9th annual "Marques in the Park" is on 13th Nov....3 years ago we had a great Zed turnout, but last year we somehow forgot to go 

myself & Simon (rhino73z) &  our zeds will attend. If anybody else wants to attend Ive pasted the details below. Its pretty much roll up at 8.45am park the zed & breakout the deck chairs.

The 9th annual ‘Marques in the Park’ is on Sunday the 13th November 2011.

 

Event Details:

9.00 – 10.00 set up under the shade of the trees at John Knight Park in Belconnen

10:00 – 3:00 Kick back and relax

 

Marques in the Park has grown from 200 cars in 2003 to over 800 in 2010, this year we are hoping to get over 1000 vehicles on display,

showcasing over 100 years of vehicles from the Canberra Region.

 

This event would not be possible without the fantastic support of our Gold sponsor, SHANNONS and silver sponsor SOS Recruitment.

 

Details and Facts

? The display at John Knight Park will begin at 10.00 am and go until 3.00 pm

? John Knight Park is on Aikman Drive Belconnen, A.C.T.

? Entrance to the park is via Lake Ginninderra College car park

? Entry to Marques in the Park is FREE for participants and spectators

? Shaded areas and open grassed areas, for parking and relaxing

? Espresso coffee and Food stall selling hot food and cold drinks

? Trade stalls selling goods and services for motoring enthusiasts 

? Display area close to shopping mall and fast food outlets

? Vehicle access and movement is allowable all day, with a 5 KPH speed limit

? Club BBQ’s permitted in the Park

? $10,000,000 PLI coverage

 

Marques in the Park is the spring time motoring display for the Council of ACT Motor Clubs and remember this event is for everybody:

• Young and Old, People and Cars

• Bog stock to Hot Rod

• Primers to Candies

• Street Cars to Street Machines

• Rusty to Restored

• Street hacks to Show Cars

• Push bikes to Drag cars

• Vintage Caravans to transporters

Back to John Knight Park? Cool.  Well that is our anniversary day and Jac and I are looking at what to do, so we might still come along, but I doubt it lol.
