Hi, what is the difference between solid cams and drilled cams for oil flow and can you mix and match. eg use a drilled cam with oil spray bar as well.

yes you can run a drilled cam with a spray bar , but you can not run a solid with out a spray bar

Thanks Peter, got my car back today from engine builder and he fitted a new cam {drilled] but it still has a lot of tappet noise. He is at a loss to what is happening but at least he didn't charge me anything. Said to take it back if it gets any worse.

not good mate it dose not sound like they have got it right ,,, send some picks of the rockers so i can see the cam and the pivots
