G'day all , my daughter is having some trouble with her commode 1994 model.

She has just started work , as of tomorrow , at the Ballarat hospital. Her boyfriend and her are new to the area and she needs the name of a good holden mechanic

Can any of you Ballarat forum members suggest one

Help would be appreciated as I am 4 hrs away...thanks Steve

Hi Steve,

My missus has always taken her cars to Alan at 'Market Street Tyre and Mechanical', he's the owner of the business and has always helped her out. She's also drummed up a bit of business from her friends for him (the business was struggling a bit when he bought it a few years ago) and I haven't heard them say anything bad about him.

Not sure if he has all the Holden diagnostic computer stuff, but I have seen a few Commo's in there.

Cheers,

Rob

Thanks for the replies, It has turned out to be auto transmission problems .

Electrical selectors defective ,so the car stayed in 3rd gear only .

This made the fluid overheat , so the computer recorded a engine fault

The beauties of modern motoring computers, if you have the diagnostic computer with you you have a chance of fixing it

Ah the good old days of a couple of tools in the boot , wire and electrical tape and of course the wife/ girl friends pantyhose  [ spare fan belt for you youngins ]
