Anybody else want to get these wheels?

Hey, been looking at these Rotas on fleaBay

ROTA RB-R WHEELS 17X7.5 & 8.5 4X114.3 +04 RHB 240Z 260Z

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300517046215&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123

and had the shipping quote as follows;

Dear wildycurly,

$500/set for shipping, if you buy 2 sets $800

- wheelbay

These are just about the cheapest I've seen them – would love to hear from you if you know of a better deal.

If not, anybody in for joint shipping (I'm in Sydney)?

Let me know, Martin (0466 380395).

Hi Wildy,

I am not interested in buying rims, but you might be interested in an advertisement I saw in the December 2010 Issue (page 79) of the 'Just Parts' magazine.

The ad is from a company called USAtoAUS.com and the ad includes;

"Buying rims direct from the USA? We will ship them for - A$100 / set of 4".

The fine print adds;

Shipping prices quoted from our shipping depot to the port. Goods are subject to minimal dock fees, GST and/or duties when landed. Contact us for a quote - www.USAtoAUS.com".

I would imagine that even with the added costs (don't forget to add the sellers US shipping cost of $90 as shown on the eBay listing, to get them to USAtoAUS's USA depot) it would be a lot less than US$500.

Thanks for that. Will do the sums and report back!
