Engine Number Database

Hey guys,

Still trying to track down where my 240Z motor came from to aid in the process of buying parts. Does anyone know of a database against which I could check my engine number?

 

The engine is out of a 280ZX, N42 block, N42 head.

 

Engine Number: L28275528

 

Basically all I need/want to know is what was the release year of the car (280ZX) from which my motor came.

 

Any help would be great
