uni joints / tailshaft balancing

I had a huge vibration from the tailshaft/ rear of Z when I was travelling at more then 100 km/hr.

Had the uni's replaced in the half shafts and tailshaft and had the tailshaft balanced.

All the work was done by Jeff Lagerwey Tailshafts

Dropped it off yesterday, got it back midday today.

Very reasonably priced, thoroughly recommended

fitted it up tonight, went for drive, vibration is gone

(and a lot quieter)

Good to hear the problem is fixed. It's fairly rare for the halfshafts to give balance problems, particularly as they only spin at a fraction of the speed of the tailshaft.

 

I've used Precison Balancing in F/tree Gully many times + they are very close to me.

I just fried my halfshaft uni's for the third time, so i am converting to CV shafts.

Will let you know what i think when i finally get my billet flanges from Modern Motorsports.

I can definitely vouch for Jeff, as he did a great job on my steering column uni-joint just recently.

 

He's a nice bloke, and to top it off he used to rally a 300hp Zed...what more could you want?!?
