1979ZED Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Hi Guys, I am pulling out the auto in the next couple of weeks to start my manual conversion. Just after some expressions of interest in the auto transmission. The owner of my zed was the oiginal owner and the car had done 144000kms. It was in perfect working condition before head gasket going. Transmission oil is spotless. Not sure what they are worth but throw me some offers. I should also mention it's out of a 280zx. Scoota G Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I hate to say it but i would say that 85% of people on this site are manual boys. I bought an Auto off eBay and got it fully and Modified. It Cost me $117 for the transmission (after which another club member told me they threw one out, Lol) $585 for the reco (new bands, clutches, torque convertor ans such) $60 to pick it up I'm afraid that these trans missions are otherwise of little interest to people (i kept mine because it is matching numbers) but after experiencing what these cars can go like with the Auto all done i wouldn't change to manual for Quids. Naturally this only just an opinion. Quote
