Stivva Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I am trying to find the missing wire for my factory temp gauge. It was not on the sender in the thermastat housing and I can't see it laying about in the engine bay. At which point in the firewall does this wire come out of the cabin and enter the engine bay? Photos may be a help. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted April 26, 2010 Moderators Posted April 26, 2010 All wires for under the bonnet come out from the firewall near the brake booster. Temp sender wire is a yellow one and is grouped with the coil/distributor wires as the go from the engine bay side to the engine near were the coil is. Most of the time they are in a black plastic tube so they can't be seen easily. You should see the coil negative cable from the distributor go into a black sleeve; temp wire should be there with it. Stivva Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 That wire is missing in action, so trace through the loom on the drivers side yeah? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted April 26, 2010 Moderators Posted April 26, 2010 Unwrap the wiring loom from where it comes through the rad support panel near the coil; less wires and the best chance of finding it there. Quote
