mattsplatt Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Hi everyone, Aaaallrighty! Got the four kids. got the Tarago. Now I'm back looking for a nice Z car to Zoom around in. I have to give Toyota some credit, as the modern Tarago is a great vehicle, but it just doesn't thrill me through the twisties like my Z did. :-) ...and that sound! I really miss that lovely snarl of the L6 getting interested in a road. I've joined to find me a car and to ask for your opinions on various cars that are listed for sale about the place. (Google found the 'Cars For Sale' threads here for me. Nice Google.) I'm seeking a standard or mildly modified 240Z that I can drive for the next couple of years without having to do any work on it. I'll write in more detail in the 'Wanted' board in the next couple of days. Gotta get in the Tarago and take some kids to gymnastics now. ;-) Have a great day! I hope you get to drive your Z today. Matt. Quote
Lynton Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Hey Matt good to see another sunnycoast Z deviat has hit the forum. Classic 30+ YO Zeds regardless, are not new cars, they are always going to require some tinkering just by the nature of the vehicle. Depending on what you are prepared to spend $$$ will also depend on the level of vehicle available, example; improved modifications made mechanically and of course rust, brakes and suspension. As a daily driver here on the sunny coast don't forget 240z's normally will not have aircond as a daily driver ugh! Personally I use my 2001 S15 200sx, the best affordable and reliable current daily driver you could ever get to own and use, almost unbreakable and a magnificent drive up to Malaney. Good luck Quote
herrods Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Welcome Matt, Lynton I could nto agree with you more re the s15, I sold one of those to buy my zed but I live in sydney so the temps are not QUITE as bad. Quote
