Lgee Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 As some of you know, i am now in the Wheel and Tyre game i have my own business in Dandenong, Gareth and Dimitri have bought Tyre's off me, we also do alloy wheel repairs, repainting, re rolling, machining all that sort of thing, we have been going now for 8 months, and things are moving along well, but we need more to grow ourselves, so my offer is this for AusZcar members, wheel and tyre packages= cost plus trade, tyres cost + trade, rims only cost + trade, any 4 tyre or wheel and tyre kit gets a FREE alingment, i also have second hand tyres which are in good nick for those of you on a budget, alloy wheel repairs from $50. Thanks Laurence www.wheeltechwheels.com.au Quote
Lgee Posted December 18, 2009 Author Posted December 18, 2009 i have had a few pm's and phone calls, thanks all, mostly price related to refinishing of wheels. OK so depending on the condition of the wheels an average repaint would be $100 per rim, but let me explain that process, the wheels will be cleaned, sanded, undercoated, painted, clear coated, baked in a kiln @75 deg for 25 mins to harden paint, then left in the heat room for a day, we have tyre machine and balancer so we can strip and refit tyres. Lgee Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 i had an enquiry about steel 14x9.5 and 14x9, so i rang in regards to the steel wheels and you its that not cheap i was surprised, i could supply you a set of 15x10 and 15x8 performance superlite's for the same price. Not sure what look you are going for, but 14 in is a hard size to get tyre's in, 15 is a lot easier. $1100.00 Quote
dat2kman Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Lgee, price for Bridgestone RE55s in 205/60x15, softest compound available. Four off, two lefts and two rights, posted via Aus Post road freight to Brisbane 4061 Bridgestone have just had a container arrive. My local tyre guy is getting crazy price from Bridgestone? How is yours? Looking to lock in ASAP, delivey time not a problem Quote
Lgee Posted December 28, 2009 Author Posted December 28, 2009 We have a national account with Bridgestone, so our pricing is very good, i will make a call when back at work tomorrow and find out for you. Quote
Lgee Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 i have to source them thru the motorsport division and they are closed until the 4th jan. i will call them next week and let you know, i have got a set of those kumhos ku36's for a customer in 205 50 15 and they were about $140 each Quote
dat2kman Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Lgee thanks for that, I'll wait to hear from you. Re the KU36's they certainly are low cost, considering their performance capabilities, my young fella has them on his 180SX type x, ( usual mods etc 220kw atw leaves R32 GTS's for dead around some race tracks - he gets the giggles) I use Kumho V700 Victoracer, and the almost slick V710, far softer compound than the KU36's, but 2 1/2 times the price ( 225/50x15) so yep I know how good they are. The Bridgy re55s's are for my Datsun Sports 2000 using an 8x15 rim, for PI next March. then Bathurst three weeks later, thay need to be 205/60x15 to comply with CAMS group S spec rules, even though my car is a Group T/GroupO ( historic Prod Sports with race history back to 1968) to keep the other Group S Guys happy they want me to run on 60 aspect, It wont matter, I'll still clean em'up at PI, ( touchwood - if I dont have dramas with it) Wait to hear from you. ( I got a price here in Brissie, I think they loaded up on freight - damn pricey!!) Quote
PZG302 Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Jason, Might also be worth giving Billy at Gordon Leven Tyres a call, they are the NSW distributor for Bridgestone Motorsport tyres. I will be using him for the replacement tyres for the Z when I move away from slicks to the A050 and also for the Avons I will be using for the Charger. Last quotes I got with freight to Brendale were still cheaper than what I could get the Yokis for up here and there was no one who could get the Avons I will be using up here. Quote
Lgee Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 what size avons i may be able to help. Quote
PZG302 Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I'm looking at a set of Avon CR6ZZ in 245/60/15. I won't be purchasing them until the Charger is just about to hit the road, hopefully June/July 2010. I was quoted $400 a corner plus freight to Brisbane. Quote
