Hi Pauly,

 

Have a look at www.ztherapy.com they overhaul carbs in the US and have pictures outlining the differences.

Not sure if all the changes appeared in Oz, but it should give you an idea what you're looking at.

IMO Su's are the go for a standerd, or mildly modded L series motor, don't bother with the single 2barrel, 280zx injection is better than that....

thanks for that also wondering will the single 2 barrel affect fuel econemy in a good or bad way

 

240Z carb's will give better fuel economy and overall performance. Theoretically the 2-barrel can be made to give good economy esp if it's a webber, but the manifold design is pretty crap and economy suffers. If you have a holley the situation will be worse as they are very crude carb's.

thanks for that just what i wanted to hear soz bout askin some stupid questions but i just got my zd and its been fun finding new things in it like a set of carbies in the boot etc so thanks for all the help and i may ask another stupid question soon
