Hi everyone,

I have got some sound stuff for my car now but can only see speaker holes next to the rear passenger seats? Are there more? What does everyone think of mounting in the doors? Amp location? Sub location? Any help would be appreciated. I don't want a huge sound system, just listen to my music without my headphones and mp3 player ;D

Nope, those are it, dont mount in door unless you want to butcher your trim.

you can run speakers at the rear clean like, just get some housings and rung the wires to the back ;)

I don't care for the trim much as it will be getting redone eventually...

Right now, I'm thinking of making 2 small housings for subs at the rear of the car under the hatch (There are 2 small inset areas). Mounting the amps to the back of the passenger seats but then when i need to sleep in the car (don't ask :P) i wouldn't be able to as they would be in the way. Then 2 small 5" speakers in the doors with the tweeters under the demister cover. Then having larger 6" speakers in the normal position.

Then i was thinking of hiding stuff under seats? I don't wanna show what speaker components i have as i don't wanna be broken into and it's not like i need to adjust anything once it's setup....

I made two frames up and put an amp behind each side panel in the back hatch, mounted a nine inch speaker with angled surround in each of the same panels, a six inch behind the side grills in the back seat area and four inch under the dash in both footwells, six speakers in all and two amps..........works a treat

Hrm, that's cool, did you have any sub's anywhere? I was planning on 2 small 10" subs just for when i play a song with a bit of bass so it doesn't distort

The nines are pure base speakers, the amp I bought to drive them has various settings to adjust the amount you want, the second amp drives the other four..........and I put a ten stack changer in the glove box

I still wanted to use the hatch area............big subs invite curious eyes....and hands with tools
