mossy Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 http://www.uniqueautosports.com/ Go to cars for sale, then unique vehicles. Quote
Natez Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 17.9k, pretty unique.... but it might possible be, the car that was for sale on ozdat.com last year for 12k, from a guy in bendigo, or ballarat Quote
lambs Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Got a 260Z up on the hoist at the moment with a VG30DET in it - engine mounts are a bitch. Be interesting to know what gearbox is behind it as these motors all came with an auto from the factory, but it doesn't say in the ad. Bonnet latch mount has been cut off and I can't see how it is otherwise kept closed. Quote
sco_aus Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I hear the RB25DET box is easy to fit to the VG30. Quote
lambs Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I hear the RB25DET box is easy to fit to the VG30. Bell-housing bolt pattern is very different, so depends on what you mean by 'easy' - certainly not a bolt-up proposition. Quote
sco_aus Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I just remember hearing it runs the same box or something similar, maybe a different bell housing and same box? Dunno Quote
lambs Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I just remember hearing it runs the same box or something similar' date=' maybe a different bell housing and same box? Dunno[/quote'] Certainly the gearbox we have is the same physical size as the RB25DET type, so internals are probably similar, but bell-housing is different. Quote
marty Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 This car got in a crash a while back and the rear was smashed up pretty bad. It is from Gosford I was hoping on buying it before the crash. In answer to what gearbox is behind it 5 speed nissan from 300zx. Quote
RBZ 260 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 this car also discussed in this topic http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2486.msg19184.html#msg19184 Quote
24OZ Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 i had one of these engines(but single turbo) in a 2+2,very tight fit all round, had a 5 speed box, personally i think the Rb is a better route with more aftermarket parts available Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 I agree. How are you supposed to change the oil filter on that thing? Quote
