Pod filter or standard airbox ?

The standard 280 air box does fit, I ran one on my first Z, a 260 built to 280 specs to run PRC.

 

When you say the standard 280 box are you talking z or zx?

I had a look at the zx box when i had one for parts car and didn't look like bolt in job unless brackets etc were fabbed.

ZX box out the front. It pretty much bolted up with a couple of simple brackets attached to the radiator support panel, I can't remember if they were standard 280ZX brackets or just a couple of bits of metal bent to fit.
