I'm going to go down the " why not recondition" path again. I bought a second hand item and it was no better than the one i took out. :S

I have a starter for an L28.

I bought a reconditioned starter motor for my L28 as I thought mine was busted. Turned out my battery was just flat.

 

I paid 195 for a reconditioned starter with a 3 month warranty.

I will sell you my original one (Still works perfectly).

I'm assuming the 280 starter fits a 260? If so, how much do you want for it?

I can't see why it wouldn't fit. But if it doesn't fit, then just return it and I will refund you.

 

Tell you what, give me $100 and if it breaks within 6 months, I will buy it back off you for the same price.
