mtopxsecret6 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Im trying to pull the fuel tank out, but the bolts are all rusted together. Ive tried undoing them but the straps warp under the pressure, i was thinking of just cutting the straps and removiing the tank this way, can new straps be made? Ie sheet metal made to replace the originals? What would be my best option? Thanks. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted February 3, 2009 Moderators Posted February 3, 2009 One last attempt would be with brake fluid on the threads after you have attacked it with a wire brush to get rid of all the built up old dirt..Then hold the other end of the strap with some big adjustable wrench to stop it from twisting. If above fails cut them off and get some second hand ones from a wreck! Quote
