Brabham Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Hey Pauly how did you go installing your power windows? Know someone who is thinking of buying same kit off eBay. Quote
Mr240z Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Glad you asked grasshopper 1st You need to have very good working windows, like they came for factory (smooth working) 2nd Piss easy to wire up, when i opened the box there were wires everywhere. But on closer inspection all the wires have plugs on them that all connect together into the switchs (supplied) 3rd Find a live wire to connect the power from fuse box or somewhere else, i used a spare wire from under the dash that i find ? who knows what it was for, anyway got power. 4th mounted a motor to the winder and flicked the switch and it worked. But after a couple of test runs up and down it just wasn,t smooth enough for me so i mucked around trying to get it better with grease and alining the window channels and got it to work fairly good, by that time the sun was going down so i packed up to leave it for another day, and thats as far as i got Than other things came up to work on, as zeds do and it got put on the bottom of the list of things to do. Overall i think they will be great once i sort out all the window winding bugs, dont forget were working with mid 30 year old cars and every thing needs some kind of work to get like new again Any other comments welcome Pauly Quote
