Ichigo280z Posted June 28, 2019 Share Posted June 28, 2019 1978 Datsun 280Z 2 seater LHD (NOT 280ZX and NOT 2+2) Same shape as 240Z and 260Z Located in Gosford, NSW 2250 Engine: L28 fuel injected Recently had the head serviced Z-Story 432 Style Vertical Tip Exhaust Transmission: 3 speed auto Body: Open door respray and complete rust repair by Resto Pros in Hanwood, NSW many thousands of dollars spent - reciepts on request 432 Style Spoiler New front and rear bumpers (Aus/Japan style) Electrical: Narva RHD replacement headlights (legality for LHD cars) Radio antenna delete Interior: All complete panels New carpet Colour: Nissan A54 Eau Rouge Red (same red as the current 370Z) Tyres: Yokohama Avid Ascend 195/65R15 near new Wheels: Rota RB 15x7 Imported: From USA in 2017 Parts: Also included are Toyota S12W calipers and 300ZX Z31 vented rotors Billet aluminium fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator Lowering springs Story: During a trip to Canada and the USA I came across this 280Z in Vancouver, Washington, USA. It was in such good condition and I had to have it. I imported it to Australia through USAtoAUS import company. Once it arrived in Australia I spent many many hours stripping the paint to bare metal. To my suprise there was very minimal rust. The original colour was burgundy. Afterwards I handed it over to RestoPros in Hanwood NSW to finish the restoration. They did an exceptional job and I spent tens of thousands of dollars with them to bring it up to the amazing condition it is in now. It has been in storage awaiting club rego, however I have decided to part ways with it. In the two years that I have undertaken this project, I have married and have a baby on the way. I would much prefer to spend the money on my new born, wife and new home. Most suited for club rego - only requires pink slip and club inspection. If you want it on full rego it will require an engineers certificate (On purchase of this car you will receive all the import documentation required for rego).
