280zx Drivers Side Handbrake Adjustment

Hey team,

Just having an issue with the handbrake on the drivers side, even with the lever on full lock I can't get any purchase on the disc. The left side is fine and locks things up nicely. Any advice on adjusting the lever/calliper would be sweet. Attached some videos for you to explain it a bit better.

Hey Hoody, did you sort this out? I'm having a similar problem. I'm suspecting the mechanism inside the caliper behind the piston.

Hey mate, 

From what I remember we had to wind out the piston manually as the brakes don't have an automatic spring-loaded adjuster on them, worked fine after that

Might also be worth getting the back half of the handbrake cable out of the car and soaking it in crc/inox and manually moving it back and forth.

We had an issue with mine not wanting to apply a few years back and it had massive amounts of rubbish inside the sheath protecting the cable. After a few hours and getting a bunch of dirt out it worked a lot better afterwards.
