Bisby Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 hey guys, i wanna get a 280zx or a 260z but i was wondering about a couple of things. how are they as everyday drivers with reliability. Are they fairly easy to work on and finally how much longer do you think i'll get out of an engine if i get it rebuilt (if its done about 180,000k's) or would it be worth trying to do an engine swap? any help would be great, cheers Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted May 11, 2008 Moderators Posted May 11, 2008 Most of the time if the car is nearly stock, they are very reliable (except a well worn 280ZX!). The 260z I found is very easy to work on yourself, everything is accessible and well laid out; helps if you have the manual for reference. L series engines seem to go forever.....Japanese version of that old crappy Holden six! Quote
