Luke240 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Hi guys, I'm after the chrome frame that makes up the upper part of the door, preferrably with the felt inlet on the inside and rubber on the outside that seals to the door frame PM for contact details Cheers Luke Quote
Cozza Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Hey Luke Not sure which side you're after but I have a drivers side in great nick with original felt in channel. Let me know if you're interested. Cheers Mick Quote

GongZ Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Hello Luke, I am a bit confused here. Firstly, there is no such thing as a 1974 240Z, unless you mean a 1973 that was not registered until 1974. In any case, it looks like the car in your photos is a 240Z rather than a 260Z. Secondly, as far as I know, neither the 240Z nor the 260Z had a rubber strip on top of the window frame. The waterproofing relies on the stainless steel window frame sealing against the rubber weatherstrip that is attached to the door opening on the body of the car. My guess is that the rubber strip shown in your photo is a generic strip that has been glued on in an attempt to solve a leak (due to an incorrect/worn out weatherstrip on the body). You should also make clear (as Cozza pointed out) which side you need - driver or passenger. Edit - it seems that the US 280Z's used a "Window Frame (Sash) Rubber"; http://www.zcarsource.com/window-frame-sash-rubber-280z-75-78-left-new_8_56660_63781.html Edited November 11, 2015 by GongZ Quote
Luke240 Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 Woops didn't realise I put 240Z, should be 260Z. (Not sure how to edit thread title) Anyways, from what you've said about the doors GongZ, I guess I'm after a driver side 280Z door with a rubber sash to match the one pictured, there's an inlet for the rubber it's not glued on.
