p510psi Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Hi all, Does anyone know of a place in Melbourne that can replace the rubber in engine mounts? Quote
aegean Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I would suggest you buy a new set from a dealer. They are not expensive, and I'm sure will cost pretty much the same to get someone to replace the rubber. You can buy them off eBay US for less than $50 a pair, plus freight. If rebuilding engine mounts, you need to be sure of the rubber hardness as this has (hopefully) been calculated by the factory to provide flex and stability to the complete drive train, so that's also worth considering if you go down the route of getting someone to vulcanise new rubber to the mounts.
