Hi all, I'm chasing a tailshaft for a 73 240z in good condition. I'm replacing my current one that has some play in the yoke which is causing a clunk in the rear end.

Let me know

Cheers

if it's just the uni joint you would be better replacing that rather than get another t/s with possibly the same issue

are you sure that is the source of the clunk ???....as there are many culprits lurking under the rear end that can cause clunking

lastly if you do need/want another tailshaft for the 240z be aware that there are 2 lengths depending on how the diff is mounted(early/late 240's)

yeah we had it over a pit about a year ago and checked the usual culprits for a rear end clunk. i thought it was gonna be the diff mounts but everything was solid and tight. The unis seemed fine and we narrowed it down to the actaul yoke (from what we remember). I'm gonna do another test just to make sure but I might just order new unis anyway.

Cheers for the heads up, i knew the earlier ones were different but wasn't sure what the difference was. So I'm guessing I will need the later option as i have a 1973 240.
