warrenz Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Hi The standard plug for a 240 is the BP6ES but I read somewhere that when you start using unleaded fuel you should go with a hotter plug so I have been running BP5ES. What are others using and do you notice any difference or more or less plug fouling ? Warren Quote
aegean Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 It depends to some degree on the amont of usage. If infrequent use, the BP5 is a better plug to use. Quote
pauly_adams Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 take my advise go the hotter plug unless you like cleaning them every month or two also the bosch super 4 plugs seem to be a bit better then the ngk dont foul up as easy cheers pauly Quote
Scando Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 This is the expensive way to go but I run BP6 iridium plugs. If I run normal plugs then I need a new set pretty much every race meeting. The iridium plugs last me at least a year and I've found the engine to be a little more responsive off boost. Quote
thehelix112 Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 BP7ES here. I've fouled a couple of sets with a less-than-ideal tune, but once tuned properly, go just fine. Dave Quote
