Brake booster touching clutch master

So the booster shat itself on the z's first test drive.

 

I have a spare S15 booster and master to put in but the booster that is in there now is already touching the clutch master. It measures roughly 8.5" across, the S15 is about 9.5" so there's no way it will fit without moving some stuff around

From others I have looked at there seems to be something weird going on with mine, any guesses?

Sorry 240z manual(pretty sure factory manual)

Looks like you have a later 260z or 2+2 booster. There are like 4 sizes of boosters on s30's. 2 different sizes on the 240z alone which are both smaller than the one pictured.

+1 with Tai, looks exactly the same as my 77 260Z 2+2 booster which is bigger than the 240 items.

 

Do you have anyway to check the booster and is the check valve ok?

Ah cool, I'll just replace the booster rather than stuffing around with S15 one
