If you don't sell it to reverendzed then I might be interested (depending on price). I'm looking for a new motor as the previous owner ran it without water for a little too long Quote
koopa Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Too bad for you and me that this is an Australian Forum. lol I'm planning on getting rid of my motor not too long from now. I have a 260Z with a 280Z motor. - 280z Non Turbo Motor - P30 Heads - Performance Cam, Pistons and Rods - MSD Spark Plug Wires and Distributor - Mukuni Triple Carbs - Monza Header with Downpipe - Aluminum Flywheel and Performance Clutch Quote
reverendzed Posted August 31, 2007 Author Posted August 31, 2007 Koopa, may not be as crazy as you think depending on price. freight companies who like to fill a backload often bring stuff to oz in a container for reasonable prices, let me know price and location via PM and I'll get back to you. zr240 Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Ive got a l26 with a slight cam in it that I want to get rid of. Could do with a rebuild (overbore to l28 maybe?) Ash Quote
reverendzed Posted August 31, 2007 Author Posted August 31, 2007 Hi Ash excuse my lack of knowledge but the mechanic that was talking to me about rebuilds etc said that the 'valve seats' in l26 motors were really soft and therefore not such a great prospect for rebuild, I didn't really get it! I'd be happy to talk with you more about other possibilites cuase I'd like to get going so that I can do motor and manual conversion together. Quote
