koopa Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Hey, I'm going to be selling my 260Z rear bumper locally (Canada) but don't know how much I should sell for. When I bought my 260Z last week, the bumper was already removed and the previous owner gave it to me. It's painted black so I'm assuming there's hidden "things" under that paint. It looks like it is in "okay" condition but will need some work. Any suggestions would be great and sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum. Quote
koopa Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 Nobody knows how much a rear bumper should go for? :'( I'll probably get rid of it for about $50'ish Canadian?? Quote
sco_aus Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Its hard to say form here. Over here, they would go for $300AUD give or take dependant on condition. How available are they over there? Personally, I would find out how much wreckers are asking, then reduce it from their average and people will think its a bargain. Quote
620Z Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 For what it's worth I threw mine out when I got fibre glass ones. Personally I don't think they are woth that much, $40- max. There are plenty of Zeds around all rusted out. But the bumpers hold up OK. So what I am saying there are probably more bumpers than Zeds around if you know what I mean. Quote
sco_aus Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Actually, now that you mention it, I think i only paid $120 for one off Sooley a few years back, so my mistake. Quote
koopa Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 I posted it on CraigsList and asked for people to make me an offer. I got one e-mail and he didn't want to make an offer so I asked for $75 and he agreed to pay $70. My brother wanted me to ask for more but I just wanted to get rid of it. Oh well. It's done now. I don't think mine could bring in $300. Quote
zr240 Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 craig yours would have been a 2+2 one so they arent worth anything if its a 2 seater 260 or 240 I would think $100 up depending on chrome and straightness. as it costs a few hundred to get a bumper re chromed I think a nice one would have to be worth in the 2-300 mark?? Aus dollars that is Ash Quote
koopa Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 It was in okay condition and painted black. I sold it for $70 and he's picking it up tomorrow. Quote
