When I get my car back from the paint shop I am considering lining the interior with Dynamat, including replacing the mat type stuff on the transmission tunnel. Does anyone have any experience with this or any similar product?

Dyna mat is way way to expensive there is another product called 'road kill' by stinger but even still it is not cheap and its really heavy stuff ... Ya best bet is to line it back up with the same stuff it 10 times cheaper and body shops keep it in stock ...suppliers to panel beaters :-\

I have used various deadeners in various cars (with various sucess).

These include Bostik Mat, Flashtac, R&H paint on bitumen and Dynamat.

In my Z, I have used dynamat as it is a "spare no expense" project for me. It is of course easy to use, looks the same as flashtac, brownbread of stinger roadkill which are just as easy to use.

If you buy individual sheets then Dynamat is very expensive, but if you buy the bulk pack online, then it isnt that much different to the other brands. I cant remember what I paid, but it was less than $200 and was enough to do my firewall, tunnel and hatch floor.

I just decided to spend that bit extra this time, as usually (but not always) such a reputation is earned for a reason. Online documentation is quite good too.
