Great to see some positive action happening and even the local council happy with it.

But I have to be a touch negative, who is Jon Ovington and what makes him think that drifting is anti social? Sure, on the streets it is, but why stop at drifting, any of it is anti social, so why target drifting?  I'm not that in to drifting, but have friends who compete at all levels, its not fair on them to have a go at it when they do it legit, it only damages the sports rep, all because he happens to not like it?  Sounds like Bob Jane...

Anyways, I'm tired.

Whats the progress?

Graeme I am a photographer working in the automotive industry, so if there is some way I can donate my skills to the cause, send me  PM.

There is a very simple explanation.

Jon Ovington is the web site designer. His name follows the article simply because he uploaded the link.

Referring to the article, the author's context of "antisocial" isn't very clear.  The intent of the use of "antisocial" when applied to drifting, is what I beleive to be a general public oppinion.... especially when plied on public roads.

I (and Jon) appreciate a good drift as much as anyone. There is an awsome amount of skill required. Obviously a LOT of practice is needed to develop drifting skills. A driver venue such as what we are pushing for can accomodate all forms of motorsport.

We are being offered very encouraging support from the motor / motorcycle industry.  Stay tuned.

Great but how can going along with public opinion help change the perspective? Anyways it doesn't matter, good on you both for what you are doing. :)
