  1. Will do! Most prolly get it from Otomoto, at least they're local.
  2. There was a bit of a delay but she's getting paint stripped and blasted within a fortnight. Now I'm looking at getting flares, front spoiler and rear spoiler so that the body shop can fit them up while the cars I the shop. For a local dealer I can only find stuff from Otomoto, does anyone know of other suppliers?
  3. Engine bay stripped and she's off to the body shop!
  4. Thank God I've got a skinny bottom then! New rule, you wanna ride in my car, you gotta lose weight, lol!
  5. Plus I managed to get my hands in a pair of seats for the Zed, here's one of them posing in a Corolla!
  6. Well after a hectic few weeks of life messing up with my plans the build is moving along again. Engine bay is gonna get emptied out in the next 2 weeks and then it's off to the body shop.
  7. Problem is I'm not all that good around mechanical stuff so I can't do it myself. If there was someone who could make up what you recommended at half the price and still as reliable I've got cash waiting, lol! Sucks not to be a professional race car builder...
  8. Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm similar to you Jeff in a sense, had a 69 Toyota Corolla KE10 fitted with bike carbs running on e85. Lovely car, pretty quick but very high maintenance. I tended to break it more than drive it... Want to keep the build relatively period correct with a L28, sounds like carbies but with all the reliability of EFI. Aaron
  9. Howdy guys! New owner of a 240Z and while the body works getting done the engine needs a rebuild. Looking at a complete ITB setup locally and so far have seen Otomotos OER setup and EFI hardware does a complete kit too. Has anyone here used either before or is able to offer any feedback on them? Or is there another kit available that's worth considering? Cheers! Aaron
  10. Gav, is there any way to find out what the original colour of the car is?
  11. Plus I need this in my life... http://otomoto.mobile034.com/p/7830659/oer-itb-kit-for-l6.html
  12. Far out, epic effort!
  13. Also out of curiosity, how the hell did you know it was 575 from just the pics Gav!
  14. Cool! Anything I need to know about it? Trust me, I'll try my best to get her done right!
  15. My friend (who's fairly knowledgeable) reckons that my L28 was originally a turbo engine with dual SU carbs slapped on it right now, weird...
  16. Was stripping the car and look what I found!
  17. Ouch! Amount of dollars required to restore bodywork is gonna make my bank account hurt.... I expected it but being told the number is scary!
  18. Well first things first, time to get to it and strip her down (that sounded more dirty than intended)...but at least I'm capable of doing that. Get her to a rolling shell state and get her blasted to see how much damage we got on her. Why of all cars did I have to fall in love with one that is 40+ years old...
  19. Thanks buddy! Will most prolly recondition the L28 in it now to begin with as after getting all the bodywork done I'll be broke. With a couple of webbers I reckon it'll be sweet!
  20. Cheers! I've sent a message to Fadelli in regards to possibly doing work on the 240. Let's see how it goes.
  21. Lol! I'm a complete newb to old car restoration but I wanna do it right. I do have a 350Z that's more track car that street so theoretically speaking I'm not new to Zed's! I think this is the beginning of a beautiful but expensive relationship...
  22. This is the worst bit...
  23. Here she is in all her rusty glory!
  24. Hello all, The S30 has been a dream car for me and I've finally managed to find one locally and looking forward to restoring it. Has a decent amount of rust and I'm wondering if anyone in WA who's on here can recommend a shop to get the body work back to its former glory. Unfortunately I'm not capable enough to do it myself and I want it done right coz I'm keeping it forever! Thanks!
