  9. this is what the car looked like the day it came out of the junkyard it was pulled out of.. a quick back story about the car is the car was owned by someone in the military.. he was stationed in Hawaii for several yrs with the car after bringing it over from Japan. From Hawaii it went to Southern CA to I think it was Camp Pendleton where it sat for many yrs until the owner died. The car just was left sitting on base, parked. After few yrs of not moving, the govt just had the car removed by a tow company, where it was taken to their yard. Someone saw the car a few days later on a pile of other cars getting ready to get crushed. He asked if he could buy the car as a whole and he had the foresight to buy it that day. This was in roughly in July 2005. I saw the car advertised on the net one nite with a crappy little 1" picture, but called the guy that night and made the deal. He delivered the car to me in Tucson about a month later. I got it running a few months later and then stored it away for a few yrs until about 2010, when after buy a few parts cars, decided to have a shop fix all the rust and paint it for me. He had the car about a yr, and once I got it back, I started restoring some of the interior and putting the car back together slowly between other projects. I had both bumpers rechromed in the process and bought NOS rubbers for them
  10. its the original short block as far I can tell tell we did an updated head on it when we got it.. the original was in bad shape.
  11. this clock ? I wasnt aware that there was more then one model.. as far as I know it came with the flares, hl covers and rims you see on it.. it even had some old school yellow foglights on it when we got it, or what was left of them. this whole car only has like 29k original kilometers on it too..
  12. Hi folks ive been around the car scene for over 30 yrs and have had several Z cars almost all yrs...the one I decided to keep the longest and still have is my 1971 Fairlady RHD Z I saved from the crusher about 12 yrs ago and have been slowly restoring it over the yrs. The pic Im attaching is in the process of being put back together in the last yr or so. Its not close to how it looked when I got it. (I also currently have a 1980 10th Anniversary Zx too, one of 500 black and red versions....) Im in Tucson Az , and the desert climate has been good to my Az cars I buy at least ...)
