  1. cheers guys i appreciate the replies! Ive got some dodgy photos for you haha i'll have to get some better ones when i have time. would love your opinions on anything that might be shown in the pictures. this is going to be a long term project too. I'm sure I'll be browsing through here often. it'll take a bit of time to get through it but hopefully keep you guys posted. i have since removed almost everything from the shell and cleaned the windscreen. the plan is to get a garage built first at the rear of my property and work on it in there. and as reference here are my other 2 cars i own a 1998 evolution 5 that ive spent as much money on already that probably would get a nice z and a 1985 toyota starlet turbo s with working sunroof and rust!
  2. Hi everyone! I am now the proud owner of a 1976 260z 2+2! It requires a fair amount of restoration and a bit of rust removal but it's mine and I already love it! I've always wanted a Z since my father told me stories of his own one. He had a 240z back when he was younger and sold it to accommodate the coming of children (sister and myself) so I thought one day I would buy him one. So I did the next best thing and bought one for myself we could share! The 260 is almost completely stripped already and has been sanded back a little, the doors will require some fabrication and also the rear of the car. It has a l26 on an engine hoist and is a auto. I'll be looking to convert it to a manual and get it to a state that it is ready to be painted. Unfortunately I'm on my phone so I can't share any photos just yet. It Appears to have been a champagne colour originaly. The man I bought it off before had been collecting parts for the restoration so I have a full room of car parts now Looking forward to start working on it when I'm on my christmas break and gaining as much knowledge as possible from all of you. As this is my first real restoration project it'll be a very quick learning experience I'm sure! Any advice is welcome! Regards Paul
