  1. Got her home! i opened the oil cap and had a very strong petrol smell.... Think I will invest in the rebuild books for the L28 and attempt my first ever rebuild.
  2. Thanks Agno, It appears that it came from a 260C Auto and I'm manual. Not sure if this will cause any problems. Will assess it when I get home.
  3. Hello team, So I'm the guy that won that L28 with N42 head and block on eBay few days back and I'm leaving from Sydney now to pick up (ACT.) Been a proud Z owner for 14 years but never stepped into this side of engine change. Don't know where to start but I'm hoping to put it in my 260z 2+2 as its has the L20 and want to use as a daily.
  4. I wont name the hopeless installer but it was a large company but don't do sterio and alarm installs there. Mine took two days and i just found my electrical problems are related to dogey soldering. IM in outer western Sydney at the moment. She is a GS30. Photos very soon.
  5. It's non turbo su carbi. Very fuel efficient but not as much fun as my old 240Z.
  6. Hello, Bought another Z after selling my pride and joy 9years ago. Down graded from a 240Z to a 2+2 260Z fairlaidy. Been on the road with me now almost 12 months and we have had our ups and downs as all Zeds seem to be. First thing that surprised me was it being only a 2L not 2.6L owner did not know this and I forgot to look.... So lacks the power I would like. Got a mongoose alarm put in from auto**** and been to two auto elections and still chasing down some electrical faults. Would love some advice on restoring the old beast and being part of a club that enjoys these beauties as much as I do.
