  1. Hi Gavin, Ill try our club to see if someone still has one I can copy dimmensions from. Its not cheap sending it up and back and if its the only one you have I would prefer not to risk it. It would be just my luck, it would get lost or damaged on the way. Thats when your hobby turns into a nightmare. Ill keep you posted. Chas
  2. Hi Gavin, When I posted my photo, I was pretty sure it wasn'twhat you meant. now seeing your photo, I can remember my friends Zed having the same thing. Normally I make the master out of delrin or aluminum, but them I have an example, all be it falling apart, to copy. Not having an example would make it difficult. Mmm 60 bucks + shipping for a master is a bit steep to say the least. If anyone was willing to donate a master, I could make one and they could get it and a repro one free. It is a hobby so is wont be fast. There would need to be a couple of buyers to cover my costs. Cheers Chas
  3. I am having a bit of trouble getting use to posting photo's on this forum. Specially more than one photo. Its funny, I'm on 6 Zed forums and they are all different when it comes to posting. Just have to get use to it. Here is a photo of the fuel insulators I made. They are for the 280Z with FI and don't fit the 240Z, but most fit the 280ZX. Im getting a bit of track. If anyone is interested in the lenses, let me know. Chas
  4. Hi Gavin, Up to now I have been making components for my 280Z. Most of the stuff I make probably wouldn't suite the 240Z. Repo parts I have made include: - Engine bay light lenses - Fusable link covers (260Z & 280Z) - Fusable link base (260Z & 280Z) - Fuel and brake line insulators (280Z) - Rear taillight amber turn signal lenses (260Z & 280Z). Mine was US/Canada red lens. - Wiring harness rubber dust covers (280Z) - Fuel injection harness rubber dust covers for the connectors. My voltage regulator is in excellent condition, so I haven't made a replacement. Not sure if mine is even the same as the 240Z. It would make an excellent master to copy if it was. See photo. Clutch and brake master cylinder tanks: The clutch and small brake tanks are not to difficult to make, but the large tank is a challenge and I would need poly ethylene resin. Im currently using poly urethene and polyester which are not suitable for glycol based fluids. I now a member on ClassicZcars (Nick) makes a lot of stuff for the 240Z and posts regulary on the forum. Chas
  5. Hi Gareth, Thats for all the compliments. Good to see them going to good use. I started making these lenses first because they were easy and didn't use much resin. My goal was to make JDM taillight lenses for my 280Z (Import from the US). The guys in our local Datsun/Nissan club liked mine, so I made more for them and anyone else that is interested. Since then I have expanded the "model range" to use a 9 SMD LED which comes close to the original 8watt globe brightness and a shorter version to dodge the crazy shipping costs when shipping outside Europe. The shorter version will still fit with the original globe or the 5 SMD LED which is about 4watt depending on the quality, angle (60 or 90degree etc) of the LED. The lenses including gaskets are 8,00euro each plus shipping. Shipping for the standard, and extended version is 18.00euro Shipping for the short version is 2,50euro. There is a small risk of damage due to the reduced package protection. Up to now, none have been damaged. If people are interested in a group buy for the extended version, let me now. Thanks Chas
