The 260Z is sold, and it’s now time to offer for sale the large quantity of spares accumulated since ’86. All must go; I need the shed space for my next (non-Datsun!) project. All parts offered are of good used quality – unless otherwise stated. Rather like adult Lego for a Z enthusiast! The block was tank-cleaned with all plugs removed. New welch plugs are supplied, as are threaded plugs for the oil gallery ends. The crankshaft oil-way end-plugs were removed and threads tapped to accept grub-screws (supplied) to facilitate cleaning. The shaft was also checked for run-out and balanced. New main and big-end bearings, as well as a new spigot bush are supplied. The pistons are standard dished 280, with a new set of rings included. There are containers of bolts – often in sets, as well as several distributors, oil pumps and drive shafts. There are timing gears and chains with a new tensioner, timing cover – as shown and several alloy housings. Apart from a sump, oil seals, water pump and some gaskets, (and maybe the odd bolt), there is a more than sufficient collection of bits for the assembly of a good, strong motor. Cylinder heads There are 2 – an E88 standard 260Z item – corrosion-free, with valves etc supplied but not fitted – a couple of chambers have small nicks. The other is from a 280 – with the larger 44 mm inlets. This head is corroded and would need repair. The plan was to use the larger valves in the E88 head. Included with this lot are: - set of new manifold bolts and nuts + std exhaust manifold - several camshafts, with 1 at least having a spray bar - many rocker arms, retainers etc, + 2 sets of head bolts - 2 cam covers - set of 12 new valve-stem seals $120 ono ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SOLD! Twin carbs 260Z - OE SU-type round tops, with 3 dashpot screws - made under licence by Hitachi These were fitted to the 9 year-old Z I bought in ’86. SOLD! I'm selling off all the spare bits I used when callibrating the 45DCOEs on the 260Z, plus more. My preference is to sell all these jets etc. as one 'job lot' since the jets are in sets of 6, and would suite the DIY enthusiast setting up triple side-draughts. The package includes: mains jets - 130, 140, 145 - 6 of each pump jets - 40 - 6 of jet inspection cover with gasket - 1 of (new - old stock) DCOE overhaul kits - 3 of - genuine Weber part no. 90.0060.15, unopened (new - old stock) The replacement costs for this lot looks to be around $380 minimum (ebay prices).
