Complete overhaul mate... but to be honest with the stress of getting her ready for tomorrow's roadworthy i haven't put too much thought into it yet. Time for a breather while my bank account fills up again...

Thanks to Simon and Ian for your help on the Phone at such short notice to help me out with a few things... She goes in for roadworthy tomorrow so fingers crossed i can drive her anytime, anywhere legally . This is really just the beginning, i am building another engine, working on the suspension and all the countless other items as we speak. Like i said at first this is just a quick run down, i hope to meet you all at the next meetup day !

once assembled it was time for an exhaust.. just like the sketches i did in the beginning it turned out how i wanted... twin 2.5'' pipes

We removed the rear wiper, boot release and antenna to make way for a more clean rear end. The front was also modified to be a shorter cleaner, but roadworthy passable look. It will change again soon. Then it was time for paint.

After i fitted all the lights back in off she went to a mates panel shop for a lot of custom work to get her to look how i wanted.

Then came the fun part of getting her to bare metal.. using Septol and poly abraisive discs for the tough spots i managed to get the bulk done to see just how she looked under all that old paint.

At first this car was going to be an exterior respray job and a fun second car to play around with.... This didn't last long. Hey Guys i will have to get around to a full write up at some point but due to my car and work taking up the bulk of my time i will keep this brief When i First saw her She Ran, drove and put a smile on my face for a whole $900.. At first this car was only going to be an exterior respray and fun daily/weekend car. That plan never worked. Then came the paint, stripping. I used 6L of paint stripper in total for the main body parts and poly abraisive discs for the tight spots. Luckily i have a mate that has a factory and a booth so in she went. From there tax time came around and we decided to play around with modifying the front and rear. I drew up what i wanted and we made it happen. Once the body work was straight we went with the color which will be down the bottom. Like i said this deserves a full write up and i will do this... for now i pick her up tomorrow and get the new exhaust system fitted and off she goes to get on the road. - note the front and rear are custom, boot release, aerial, rear wiper and countless items were removed... clearly including the rear bar haha.

Hey Guys Just after a basic Front/Rear Poly Bushing kit to suit an 83 S2 280zx. As she goes in for roadworthy in a week i may need these by next week and the Ebay ones from the states will take too long and at $180 inc delivery i'm not sure if this is even cheap? - Note i am also not fussed if they arnt poly... just something to help it pass a RWC for now. Also i have whole struts spare is someone has changeover that i can swap with cash their way

I may just buy them, just give me a couple of weeks to get my funds back up haha, how much are you looking for??

Haha cheers mate i will keep that in mind! the exhaust is the main part that i am chasing.... might have to get one made up for a few extra $$$ .

Hey Guys, I have a freshly painted 280zx which is about to embark on a roadworthy endeavour. I am in need of a full exhaust... headers would be nice too as my system is a little rusted. Unfortunately im not parting with the motor bolt-ons, gearbox and diff, they are the reason i bought this just incase things break on my car. There are plenty more bits to offload though. front/rear struts, brake setup, door glass/doors trims rear seat.. the list goes on. Sorry to dissapoint anyone looking for these items.

Hi Linton, they're already gone, sorry mate. - full dizzy set up and ignition module now sold too. Front struts possibly sold.

I do mate however i am keeping this as a spare, if i decide to part with it i'll keep you in mind. Are you after just the bare block and head? or all bolt on parts with it?

hey mate i have a whole complete car that was running, the floor pan was full of rust so not worth fixing her up, i have guards, bonnet, bumpers the lot, i've used a few parts for my build that arn't available anymore such as the passenger door power steering pump ect..
