  1. I hope so Mike. BTW you're 260 looks amazing! I can only dream. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone Stellsner
  2. Ha ha. I wish I was in a position to jump all over this. It's looking unlikely though. Stellsner
  3. I had the 280zx when I met my wife but sold it soon after. She therefore knew i had an interest in zeds but it's probably my fault for not keeping this front of mind over the last few years. The idea of buying an s30 seems to have come out of nowhere from her perspective. I look at it as my zed infection flaring up and needing treatment. Just a Gucci bag, done deal! Some stumbling blocks include the usual stuff like buying house, growing family, and the fact that I recently convinced her to sell her car to fund the purchase of a family wagon, while I got to keep my ride. I could maybe wangle it by offloading my current car and a couple of Les Paul guitars. Hmmmm. Back to Benny's 260. The colour has grown on me and I reckon it would look awesome with the pinstripe/moulding and the chrome wheel arch trims removed, followed by the addition of a set of Konig wheels and a BRE front spoiler. I mocked this up (very quickly) in Paintshop (Attached) - I'm a sucker for this look and mean no disrespect to the stock look which is awesome. I'm just not sure I can get things together quick enough to make Benny a decent offer. Somebody else might end up the lucky owner of Benny's 260. It would be ideal though as I don't have the time or funds for full rebuild at the moment. Stellsner
  4. I'm living in the Parramatta area at the moment. Benny's 260 sure looks nice. It's not my favourite colour but boy does it look like a clean example. I've just got to convince the boss that we need to drop 10k+ on a 36 year old 2-seater Datsun. Any tips to sell the idea to the missus? Stellsner
  5. Hi everyone. I'm really feeling the urge to get back into the z-car hobby, hopefully with a 240z or 260z 2-seater. I used to be the proud owner of a 1981 280zx that I spent a small fortune on sourcing all kinds of bits from around the world. Most of my ownership headaches were caused by trying to solve efi related problems - I learned that new air regulator, thermotime switch and coolant temperature sensors work wonders! Anyway, I sold the 280 to a chap from southern NSW a few years back. I've attached a few pics of the old 280. Time to start hunting down that 2-seater. Stellsner
