Digging up an old thread.... You don't want to leave the air filter inside the engine bay. The air intake sensor and/or mass air sensor (MAF) will read high temps and will knock out at least 4 degrees of timing (or more). A much better approach is to route the intake piping through the radiator core support and place the filter in front of the radiator. I built mine out of some 4" diameter ABS pipe and 4" aluminum tubing. Take care guys!!

Hey guys, just testing the waters at the moment. I have another project on the burner and need to get some bills out of the way too. So if I can get what I want, it goes. If I can't, then its a good reason to hold on to it. It was recently painted, not show worthy, but decent enough for a driver. Until 2 weeks ago it has been my daily-driver. It is an absolute blast to drive and race. Runs 11.9's at 117 mph as it sits right now on regular street tires. Interior is okay, seats are in overall good shape (original), has half dash pad installed, and new black carpet installed a month ago. Door panels and headliner (original) are decent too. It gets attention everywhere it goes, always have folks asking about it, etc, etc. With a good stall converter, slicks, and 125 shot nitrous (see below) this would be an easy 10 second daily-driver. I would be willing to pick you up at the airport/train station/bus depot so you could drive/ship the car home anywhere. If you want to buy it and can't make it to Bakersfield, Ca right then, I would be willing to accept a $300 deposit via Western Union to hold onto the car for 72 hours (or more if discussed in advance). I do have an extra pair of Sportmax 002's with 255/50/16 Hoosier Drag Radials for an extra $500 FIRM. I also have a never used 'wet' nitrous fogger setup good to 200HP (10# bottle) for an extra $500 FIRM, a pair of '84-'89 300zx (Z31) turbo CV axles for $300 FIRM.
