hi, its 15.7 volts , i know the alternator needs replacing but the dash light has always went green , i thought it meant a brake light or low fluids cheers

when i start the engine the red light doesn't turn green and its running rough like its down a cylinder but its has new plugs and dissy cap about 2 months ago it was fine then but i have not used the car since so i took it out a run but it didn't clear when its in park it ticks over fine , in drive the revs drop more than usual and is very spluttery 1982 280zx

alternator now removed, cant see what voltage if you have one how much with postage to perth 6027 cheers

i dont know , when i saw this part on ebay i thought it was what i needed , i expected to simply unscrew the old and fit the new one ! i have no idea where it goes. if its internal then should i just buy a new alternator ?

my battery gauge hits 18v when i accelerate and the red light is on, so i bought the voltage regulator but i have no idea where it goes 1983 280zx

the red light on the battery gauge came on , i put the blower on full and full beam on that brought it down a bit from 18 , alternator problem?

i wasn't sure about the stickers so i wanted some opinions , they are for the plastic trim on the doors but they didn't have zx the stickers follow the car contours perfectly! probably going to pull them off

i know its not for there but ok ? i have to find an x so with or without?

anyone think its possible to have it attached to the new seat with some sort of bracket, if so then would it be legal i wonder?

i want to buy them but the seat belt is attached to the stock seats , is it possible to bolt belts on the floor?

you can buy a roll of vinyl for a dash on ebay ,thats what was on mine glued down but it was painted on top will blue gloss , i think i will have to sand and fill the dash then use the vinyl spray i used on the consol looks good but it will be a lot of work and masking but im not sure what to use to fill the cracks ?

cheers for the reply, my only other option is vinyl spray , previous owner stuck some material on the dash with glue , a lot of work to clean off but im in no hurry
