  1. Nat, What you say is pretty much exactly what JTR say about the aluminium radiator and electric fans. That was why I was originally looking at the JTR radiator. If I can get something locally and save some cash to boot, I would be a lot happier. So can you give me an idea what model Nissan you got your radiator out of.
  2. Thanks for the feedback guys you,ve given me plenty of options to choose from and it is really appreciated. I'm leaning towards an aluminium radiator at the moment more for the weight saving than anything else.
  3. Guys does anybody have any advice on the best radiator set up to cool a v8 zed. I was looking at using a 4 row aluminium radiator but the JTR manual recommends you don't use a radiator with aluminium tanks, they lean towards one with plastic tanks. I have considered buying one from them in the states but thought it may be worth while seeking some guidance first.

Have been busy stripping out my 260z 2+2 ready for the v8 transplant and have got some bits I want to get rid of; Complete 260 motor with hitachi carbs, alternator, starter motor, radiator etc not sure of overall condition of the engine but it was running when it was removed. 5 speed manual gearbox is attached and the clutch slave and master cylinders are included as well as rear mount. The lot for $400.00 pick up at Singleton in NSW (Hunter Valley).
  6. To start with I at least need to replace some sections of the chassis rails so I can safely put the shell onto a rotisserie and get it blasted. Once that is done I'll have a better idea of what I'm up for. I spoke to Warren at Allzed today and he has put me onto another 2+2 shell that I can get quite a few bits and pieces off, including a set of fairly good chassis rails.
  7. Guys have only just joined the site and I am looking for some information regarding parts for a 260z 2+2. I can find rust panels for a 240z or 260z on a number of sites, but no one seems to sell them for a 260z 2+2. Can anyone tell me where I might be ale to source them.
  8. Hey guys. Just a quick note to say Hi. I have just bought my first Z after wanting one for 20 years. Because I've got a family I've gone for a 260z 2+2. It's got a bit of rust but nothing a full restoration won't put right. As a major part of the restoration I'm puting in a 5.0Ltr EFI Holden V8 with a 5 speed Getrag gearbox attached. Still got a long way to go but looking forward to the challenges and the satisfaction I expect to get from the project. Love the site and have learned heaps already from the various forums I;ve been into.
